Strengthen managers —> transform your organization.
Let’s be honest. People don’t leave nonprofits because the coffee’s bad. They leave their managers.
It’s easy to blame inconsistent team retention, poor performance, or toxic team culture on a few bad hires or low-performers, but let’s say the quiet part out loud: most of these issues also have to do with a manager that is struggling. As leaders, it’s our job to fill their gaps and Manager SLAM might be the first step in that direction.
Manager SLAM is a 6-session virtual live cohort program aiming to equip people-managers to improve their day to day management practice, and to get better results managing across lines of identity and work-style differences. Our next cohort begins June 30th and we’re enrolling participants now.
Over the six weeks, we cover topics ranging from:
Communicating with Clarity (Delegation at the role, task, decision-making rights, etc)
Loose or Tight: Determining How Hands-On to Be With Your Team
Coaching-Up, Giving Feedback and Skill Building: Practices to Ensure Every Team Member is Growing
Becoming a Conflict-Capable Leader & Building Conflict Resilience on Your Team
Time Management for Best Impact (For Yourself and For Your Team)
Managing Up to Maximize Your Leader and Advance Your Team
Additionally, each session offers “homework” for deeper practice and focused coaching opportunities available upon request.
Our upcoming session dates are June 30th, July 14th, July 21st, July 28th, August 4th and August 11th at 12 pm EST. All sessions are recorded so vacations or time conflicts are no problem.
NOTE: For large groups (10+ attendees) or to invoice your organization directly vs. payment link above, enroll by emailing scheduling@breaker28.com. For ease, please include the names and emails of the individuals you would like to enroll.
